“10 Books to Read Right Now!”

  1. The Handmaids Tale: Margaret Atwood. – A great dystopian novel based in the future where the American Government has been overthrown. For adult readers who enjoy a YA dystopian read such as “The Hunger Games” or “The Maze Runner”. Binge the TV series on Hulu!!
  2. The Lying Game: Ruth Ware – a fast passed thriller that takes place when four friends from boarding school, meet up after 20 years and must face mistakes of their past before they get out into the public.
  3. Verity: Colleen Hoover – this book is not for the faint of heart. A twisted story of a young author who discovers the dark secrets of a woman she is working for in her unpublished memoir.
  4. The Silent Patient: Alex Michaelides – this book will have you gasping at the end with the most unexpected twists and turns. You will not be able to put this book down and will be thinking about it from days after
  5. The Nightingale: Kristen Hanna – you may have already read this number one n\New York times bestseller, but if you have not don’t let the size of the novel scare you. This book is beautifully written and had me in tears throughout the entire story. Hands down the most amazing historical fiction I have ever read.
  6. One Day in December: Josie Silver – the perfect romance to read when you need some faith in love. When a woman falls in love with a man from the window of a bus, what will she do when he’s introduced to her one year later as her best friend’s boyfriend.
  7. Ugly Love: Colleen Hoover – a novel that shows how ugly love can be. A young nurse falls for her brother’s best friend who lives across the hall. Based in our city, San Francisco, this story will rip your heart out and rebuild it all in 300 pages.
  8. The Last Mrs. Parish: Liv Constantine – this book will have you up until the very last page, unable to put it down. What will happen when a woman, jealous of her so-called best friend’s life, tries to replace her slowly? This book will have you on the edge of your seat.
  9. The Light We Lost: Jill Santopolo – this novel will take you on an adventure through a love story that is and a love story that could have been. Do soulmates really exist and what happens when you don’t end up with yours?
  10. Pride and Prejudice: Jane Austen – while this is classic many people have not actually read it. This is my favorite classic novel because it gives the feeling of a modern romance while still being set in a different time. This book is an example of what a classic novel is.
