I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family; an energetic and spunky Mom and her two adult “kids”. We were able to plan a session quickly when we found out my client’s daughter was traveling from back East for a visit. Seeing the interaction between the Mom and her two grown kids it dawned on me once again how we are still “kids” in our parents eyes…watching the laughter and hearing some inside jokes just let me appreciate the connections we can keep with our kids even when they are grownup and out of the house. Portrait sessions are important in every chapter of our lives; keeping an amazing chronicle of the story of your family and at the same time savoring the moments we are having right now in the present. I am very blessed to be continually reminded through my work the importance of appreciating where we are right now in our lives and honoring this moment in time.
